Pink Paint and Erotica Art

sooooo, the Annual Erotica Show has opened and is showing

@ Gabriola Artworks.....it is some racy, saucy show.....my pieces are quite tame in comparison to many....imagine thick pure beeswax candles in the phallic shape, extra large!....
it was very different for me to create something with an erotic theme for public consumption.....this year i finally managed to do it!!
does this mean i am growing as an artist?? ha ha!  have you ever created Erotic Art?

Valentine's Day and Erotica

we are at that time of year again!!....Valentine's Day and the Annual Erotica Show at Gabriola Artworks....you may recall that last year i had some difficulty creating pieces for either type of these shows....
i am happy to say that this year it is a whole new game! and i have some really fun pieces....everything i created is mixed media on paper and panel....and just 3 little glass hearts on one of them....i cannot show you the full images yet because the show has not opened....i will however share a few detail shots of one piece, with the little paper hearts that hang from the bottom....
this also fuels my desire to have more play time with pink paint!
other new paintings went to The Van Dop Gallery, over in the lower mainland.....for their annual Heart to Heart Show and their Mother's Day show.....and glass art going out to the West End Gallery, The White Dog Gallery and Vernon Art gallery....
i have big gratitude for these wonderful opportunities...
stay tuned for detailed images after Feb.14th.....

i find myself still struggling (!!) with creating just the right space for painting.....i think it doesn't need to be so difficult really.....so, i am not sure why i am finding it to be a constant state of rearranging.....sigh..... i am blessed with this wonderful space and the time in my life to make it all work....

i have enough space....the problem comes because i need to keep space for photographing and showing the finished glass pieces, away from the glasswork/kiln area...and the best space for this also happens to be the best space for painting....soooooo.....it is an ongoing dilemma....and i am happy to have lots of windows and doors,  however this leaves only one solid wall left to work with......hmmmm.....
gotta get creative with this little "problem"!! (and i use the word problem very very lightly!)
anyone wanna come over to the beautiful island and assist me in this? i am open to ideas!!
